I'm a photographer and writer based in New York. I work mostly on 35mm and occasionally digital, and I write essays and field notes about the pictures I can't take — the ones that got away, or the ones I can't explain yet.
Before this I studied literature, spent four years as a designer, and learned darkroom printing the slow way. The work here is the through-line between those things: looking carefully, then trying to say what I saw.
I'm currently working on a long-form project about rooms people leave behind — sublets, estates, rentals between tenants. If that overlaps with something you're doing, I'd like to hear from you.
